School-Based Play Therapy Interventions:
Using Play As An Incentive and Incorporating Teacher Involvement
Play Therapy workshop offered to those interested in learning more about utilizing play therapy techniques with children and adolescents  in the academic environment.   Offered through the San Bernardino Chapter of the Association of Play Therapy, this workshop is for beginning to intermediate play therapists interested in learning more about the use of play therapy in a school setting. 
 
Participants will become familiar with Behavior Modification interventions and how to incorporate them into the classroom as well as increase teacher involvement.  Incentives, token economies, and positive rewards for behavioral improvement will be explored.  Clinicians will be provided with an opportunity to explore ways in which this information can be integrated into their play therapy practice with clients.  To learn more, click here!

The Social Worker as an Entrepreneur: Establishing Your Brand
Now accepting participants!  What happens after we pass our licensing exam, fellow clinicians? What is the first step we take toward self-employment? Unfortunately, there are not a lot of resources out there to guide us. This two hour in-service training is for clinicians who would like to learn more about the the step-by-step process of starting your own part-time or full-time practice including a guide to attaining business licenses/permits, assistance with choosing the proper business structure and proper insurances, basic training on attaining clients through contracts/purchasing and/or insurance panels as well as options for space rental.  In-service sizes are limited to allow for individual consultation.  Continued mentor group meetings will be offered on a monthly basis to participants interested in continued consultation.  Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 11am until 1pm. Professional Mentorship Series
Participants in the Social Worker as an Entrepreneur workshops are invited to continue their networking relationship with the presenter and colleagues via social meetings on a bi-monthly basis.  This series will provide continued support, resource provision, and mentorship as needed as each participant moves forward in building their brand/practice/business.  Participation is free, but participants must have attended the workshop.  This service is not clinical supervision.  The first meeting date, location and time will be announced following the final seminar.
