Eliminating the Negativity

There are sixty seconds in one minute. There are sixty minutes in one hour. There are 24 hours in one day. There are seven days in a week. There are 52 weeks in a year. And there are 78 years in the average American’s life. If you’re lucky, you’ll get more, but some of us aren’t even guaranteed to have those 78 years. If you’re young, your 78th birthday may seem like a life time from now, but the truth of the matter is that it’s actually not that far away. I mean think about it, can you actually believe that you are the age that you are now? I know that I can’t. It feels like I was a child yesterday and then I went to take a nap and woke up as an adult. Time marches on and we can’t stop it from happening. We can’t slow it down no matter how much we may want to, and even if we think that we still have all of the time in the world, the truth is that life really is short. Our days are numbered, and we really should focus on living a life that’s full of more good moments than bad moments.

There are so many wonderful things out there that life has to offer us, and if you’re sitting here reading this then trust me when I say that those wonderful things that the world has are waiting for you. It may not be easy to find those things, but most good things don’t ever come easily. You have to go out there and find it and you may have to be willing to cut some things out of your life in order to make it possible for you to have these good things. Some of these things that you need to change about your life in order for the good things to come will be easy for you to do. You may not have any problem getting rid of the less important things in your life, but there are definitely other things that will be harder for you to let go of, especially if they’ve been in your life for a long time.

As 2016 comes to a close, take some time to reflect on your life this past year. Is there room for improvement? I’m sure there is. Are there people, things, and situations that are currently in your life that are causing you stress? Can you afford to eliminate at least some of these tings from your life? Positive thinker, if there are things in your life that are causing you to not enjoy this short life that you have then you should make a serious effort to get rid of those things. You shouldn’t spend the finite amount of time that you have on this earth being unhappy. So if you need to cut some people out of your life then cut those people out of your life. Because life’s too short to surround yourself with people that you don’t enjoy being around. If you need to leave that stressful job that you have now then find something else and move on to a job that you’re going to enjoy doing. Because life’s too short to spend 40 hours or more every week doing something that you hate.

Positive thinker, if something’s causing you pain then get rid of it! And make a promise to yourself that 2017 is going to be better than 2016. But just know that this promise doesn’t necessarily have to be a New Year’s resolution (because let’s face it, few of us follow through with those resolutions anyway). It just needs to be a change in your life that’s going to transform it for the better.

And as I finish up writing this blog post, I want to leave you with one very important question to ponder…

Is your life going the way that you want it to?

If it is then great!

But if it isn’t then maybe it’s time to make the change(s) in your life that you need to make in order to live the life that you have always imagined for yourself.

Remember, “Life is short. Cut out the negativity, forget gossip, say goodbye to people who don’t care. Spend time with people who are always there.”

How are you planning on living the rest of your life out positive thinker? Will it be a life full of positivity or a life full of negativity?

My wish for you is that you choose the positive life.

I know that I am!
